Organizers have established the theme, dates and location for the second annual Conference on Marine Industry Technical Training.

COMITT 2006 will be held Jan. 23 and 24 at the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa in Safety Harbor, Fla. The theme is Resources to Succeed.

Attendees will hear from leaders within the federal Departments of Education and Labor, state and local governments and work force development experts, industry leaders, grant-writing professionals, and others who can help locate the resources to succeed.

Participants also will have an opportunity to meet with members of the Marine Industry Technical Education Council and participate in one or more of MITEC’s committee meetings during the breakout sessions. Additionally, organizations will be able to sign up for a limited number of kiosks to display and inform others of their programs, products and services.
