04/22/05 Diesel training offered in R.I., Florida

The American Boat Builders & Repairers Association and the New England Institute of Technology will offer diesel training programs in Rhode Island and Florida this year.
A two-day basic diesel engine training and technician certification session will be offered June 6-7 in Providence, R.I., and Nov. 14-15 in West Palm Beach, Fla. Three-day advanced diesel technician training will be offered June 8-10 in Providence and Nov. 16-18 in West Palm Beach.
The basic course is intended for technicians experienced in servicing marine inboard gasoline engines. The advanced course deals with more specialized topics such as air intake and exhaust systems.
